Meet your Guide: Cinzia
Hello, my name is Cinzia (prounounced Chin-zee-ah). I was born and raised in Rome - the perfect place to study art. I began my studies at Accademia Belle Arti and spent many years as a working artist before returning to school to complete my master’s degree in Art History and Museology. I feel a special connection to my American clients, having stayed in Los Angeles while working on my master’s thesis, and later having lived for two years in San Diego. I worked with children in the arts for many years, and it is a particular pleasure to share the magic art and creativity with my clients who have kids. I have been a licensed tour guide for over a decade, and given tours to people from all walks of life. Each tour makes me feel connected to people who are curious about life, history, and the ways art can transport us through time, to understand others, and ourselves. I look forward to our tour together!

I wasn't sure there was all that much to learn about this subject when I signed up but how wrong I was! I learned a lot and really enjoyed the tour. I have been to the Imperial Forums many times, and had the chance to experience the "light and sound tours" that usually take place on summer, and Cinzia's tour is a great way to visit (or discover) some of the most important ruins of Imperial Rome. In one hour and a half, Cinzia takes you around the forum built by Julius Caesar, his heir and nephew Augustus, and to Vespasian (which Peace Forum used to carry the famous Forma Urbis, the mosaic map of the City of Rome), Nerva and, last but not least, the forum of Trajan with the amazing Trajan Column, one of the most well preserved masterpieces of Ancient Rome. The Virtual tour allows you to discover and find out all the small details of this amazing column and understand the story that it tells, which is more difficult when you stand in front of it. A great way to experience it!
